our history

Kol Yisrael represents the merged synergies of two existing shuls, each with their own special strengths. Congregation Netzach Israel brings with it an established reputation for executing excellent communal programming, including Shabbat meals and holiday carnivals, as well as Shabbat parasha classes, a Hebrew Sunday school, and twenty years of experience. New Toco Shul brings diverse and interesting Torah classes, stable and serious prayer services--including Atlanta’s only vatikin shacharit minyan—which continues to attract locals and visitors year-round. Both congregations bring with them a core of dedicated members and supporters who have proven themselves, time and again, willing and ready to do the hard work necessary to build a new vision of Jewish community in Atlanta. The excitement and energy accompanying the merger and the new, enticing space will allow Kol Yisrael to build upon what these two existing shuls already do so well in a variety of areas.
